Voice and Choice to Develop 21st Century Competencies
To what extent are students able to drive their own discovery? What resources and tools will they utilize? What 21st century skills will they practice during their learning?
In PBL students need to create end products that showcase their interests and voice. They need to be able to be able to assist in the selection of the tools to use to create their final projects. This can be done in a variety of ways, in getting started, a teacher can give a few options for students to use and let them select the one that best works for them, or if a teacher is comfortable with technology, allowing students to select their own tool is fine too. This is a great opportunity to work in 21st century skills such as the use of technology, collaboration and communication.
